Driving School - Driving Lessons

We guarantee you Will drive on your first lesson - The cheap schools can't afford to move

Including driving to and pickup customer and conducting the driving lesson - we average 33 miles per hour taught. That has stayed the same since 1987. at  40 miles per gallon. and £1.36 per litre - Thats £5.09 per lesson in fuel alone.

It costs around £9-£11 an hour taught to run a school car. What with the cost of fuel, the car, insurance, wear and tear, etc. Then you have to allow 1/2 hour or so between lessons. They cannot afford to do many miles, on lessons to save money. Most instructors are working for below minimum wage. If they value them selfs so low. How do they value you.
Before booking a driving lesson ask yourself this very important question. "How much is my life worth?"
What you are taught by your driving instructor is going to keep you safe and ALIVE.  Learning to drive is an important skill to master and errors cost peoples lives.  You should always try and get the best tuition that you can afford.
Far too many people choose a driving school because they give cheap driving lessons. But look at how 'cheap' driving lessons can be more expensive;

60 cheap lessons at £18 = £1080 + 3 driving test attempts £186 = £1266

40 quality lessons at £24 = £960 + 1 driving test attempt £62 = £1022 So the cheap lessons could cost you £244 extra or possibly even more!

As I see it cheap driving lessons like this can only be bad for the industry and for the general safety of everyone that uses the public road. It undermines everything that we do as professionals on a day to day basis and that is TEACH PEOPLE TO DRIVE! not just pass the test. To do this means that the trainee has to drive the car as much as possible so they can learn not only how to control it but how to observe the road ahead and make good decisions about speed, position, signals etc... All this costs money. Car finance, franchise fees, fuel, tyres, wear & tear on the car (brakes, clutch etc), insurance, road tax to name but a few of the business costs, not to mention the instructors time . How is it possible to do this for £10.00 or even £15.00. By cutting corners? If your not moving there are no fuel costs, or tyre wear, or general wear & tear.

Respectable gas engineers charge at least £50.00 per hour and people pay it because not having the gas system installed properly kills people. Why should driving be any different especially when more youngsters die in cars on the road each year than in gas related incidents!

I pride myself on giving excellent tuition and have an excellent 1st time pass rate.
I will teach you to drive not just to pass a driving test.

What you are taught, will keep you and your passengers safe once you have passed the test and are driving alone.  If you value your life then take quality driving tuition and pay that bit extra more per hour but be taught correctly from lesson one.

""It's unwise to pay too much. But its worse to pay too little.
When you pay too much, you lose a little money that is all.
When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything,
because the thing you bought was
incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do.
The common law of business balance
prohibits paying a little and getting a lot; it can't be done.
If you deal with the lowest bidder
it's as well to add something for the risk you run,
and if you can do that you will have enough,
to pay for something better."

John Rusking (1819 - 1900) ""
